NearPad Token Distribution Event Starts Today
Today marks the thrilling conclusion to our Phase 1 development roadmap with our platform launch and Token Distribution Event. The Token Distribution Event is the first stage towards divesting the ownership of the protocol and its ecosystem into the hands of the community through the $PAD utility token.
With the token launch, NearPad community will be able to start participating actively in the protocol’s development and growth.
The Need for NearPad
Bootstrapping a brand-new blockchain ecosystem from the ground up isn’t as easy as most make it out to be. Developers have to juggle the tricky act of finding, connecting, and keeping communities vested in their ecosystem, while the community is often confused by the deluge of developments in the space with little to no way of filtering it. However, after over a decade of development, it’s not every day you wake up to a pristine blockchain ecosystem for both developers and community members to build and connect on.
The advent of Aurora on the NEAR protocol is changing this.

What’s more, users can use mainstay DeFi applications like Metamask and WalletConnect to interact with Aurora network. They can also seamlessly move their assets back and forth through the cross-chain bridge. Transactions on Aurora have a 2-second finality and 1-second block-time.

How to Participate
1. Go to https://nearpad.io/
2. Click on “Go to App”
3. You will be redirected to https://app.nearpad.io/
4. Click on “Connect Wallet” and connect your Metamask wallet to the site. Please ensure that you are on Ethereum Mainnet
5. Click on “Open to Join”
6. Enter the amount you want to acquire (in USDT) and click on either the Padlock icon for Limited Approval (will approve user specified amount) or the Infinity icon for Unlimited Approval. Confirm the transaction in Metamask
7. After step 6 has been confirmed on the blockchain click on Swap and confirm the transaction in your Metamask. Wait for it to be mined. Finished.
Please note that you will not receive $PAD tokens immediately. You will have to claim your tokens a few hours after the event has ended from your dashboard.

⛔️ If you need to DM a team representative, please do so by clicking on their profile and selecting the message icon from their profile after ensuring that the account has admin tag displayed on their posts in the public group. Don’t use telegram search feature. You’re likely to get a fake account that name. Same goes for joining groups.
⛔️ When in doubt about the group, go to the website and click on the link to the social media channel to see if it takes you to that same group.
